Although English is my home language, I am exposed to the language everyday (family, friends and at university), I comprehend it well and I would like to help scholars understand the school syllabus.

I am fully bilingual. I grew up speaking Afrikaans to my mother and brothers. I was in an Afrikaans primary school and English high school. Some of my University subjects were also lectured in Afrikaans.

Afrikaans was one of my majors while obtaining my Degree in Education. I have taught Afrikaans as a school subject as a first and second language. I can also help with Conversational Afrikaans as I am fluent in Afrikaans.

My home language is Afrikaans. I am a hardworking, self-motivated person with a positive outlook on life and have a passion to teach pupils the beauty of Afrikaans and how they can apply their skill in the future.

I have 20+ years of experience in teaching languages. Recently I have been developing and teaching a curriculum to meet the standards of CAPS for Grade 8-9 learners with no previous exposure to Afrikaans.
