I studied in the sociology department of UKZN PMB in the early '90's under brilliant lecturers. I earned my Honours in Sociology, cum laude, with Dean's commendation. I did research in various topics such as land reform, development, working the land and rural livelihoods. Sociology is dynamic!

Sociology was my second major in my undergraduate studies. I achieved distinctions and I am able to assist with both understanding the various topics and the writing skills needed to excel in this subject.

I am able to create a space where the students are able to freely express their views and explain their views on the causes for a particular behaviour. I can contribute significantly to a discussion with the student by bringing different perspectives and examples from real-life experiences.

The year of sociology that I completed really opened up my mind to how the world operated and I am better for it. I have developed sound study skills for this module that I want to teach students.
