Bio
I am a perpetual student, conscientious, enthusiastic and kind. I like who I am when I am teaching; I hope you will too.
I am an empathetic communicator. Leslie Jamison wrote, "Empathy requires knowing you know nothing." In high school, I was a Peer Supporter. For 2 years, I counselled a small group of students. I found that approaching the task with a desire to help and the humility Jamison prescribes produced great understanding between my peers and I.
Education
• In 2018, I received a BA from the University of Cape Town in English Language and Literature, Media & Writing, and Film & Television Studies. Then, I did my Honours in Film and Television Studies.

Achievements
• In 2018, I was a Circle Leader for UCT's chapter of Lean In. In 2019, I was invited to join the Golden Key Society, an international academic honour society, as a result of being in the top 15% of my Honours programme. I also just taught my one-year-old niece the joys of playing with soil.

Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBIn grade 11, I was a member of my school's writing club. I was also part of its first Advanced English class, where I began to curate my authorial voice. I am extremely well-read, and can advise on how to read in order to understand and write essays.
History
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBI ardently loved History in high school. I can teach the various essay formats- multiple source, discursive, the longer-form investigative project. I can also teach exam-writing technique, since History exams are often intensive.
Life Sciences (Biology)
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBIn university, I took several science courses, including Archaeology and Chemistry. As such, I am very comfortable with scientific terminology and method.
