As I have a sense of humour, putting a smile first on learners before teaching makes them develop an interest in the lesson(s). As a passionate tutor, taking learners step by step and seeing them slowly reach the top of the ladder really put a smile back on my face.

• At one point I broke the record of the best overall mathematics pass mark in history when I was teaching at a high school
• I once assisted two University students to the extent that their parents bought me a laptop as a token of appreciation after their children passed
