I tutored Mathematics part-time whilst in college and obtained 6 distinctions at the end of matric. I completed my BSc Honors in Biochemistry which entailed Mathematics modules and am currently completing my Postgraduate Certification in Education, specializing in Mathematics and Life Science.

I am furthering my expertise by pursuing a Postgraduate Certification in Education, with a focus on Mathematics and Life Science. This journey not only deepens my understanding but also enables me to impart valuable knowledge to future generations with dedication and enthusiasm.

I am passionate about the foundation of Natural Science, leading up to biology and chemistry. I have tutored it whilst being a teacher assistant and have a deep understanding of scientific knowledge to express the importance to students before deciding to choose science subjects in Grades 10 to 12.

English bridges the gap between almost every nation. Other than excelling in the language at school, I also hold a TEFL certificate which broadened my knowledge of specific teaching methods used to bring about effective English language learning, especially to challenged students.

I speak Afrikaans fluently and can help learners with vocabulary, and pronunciation comprehension. The transition between English and Afrikaans holds similarities and I was able to use that to my advantage whilst a student and can therefore find ways for students to learn effectively.

Physics was a huge part of my degree in Biochemistry. I am extremely passionate about the subject and always found it applicable to daily life. Expressing this to students is key so that they find true purpose behindthe constant new concepts and topics involved in the intricate science.

I have one teaching practice left before completion of my PGCE, and obtained above 75% for 8 of my modules and can therefore assist with pedagogy principles, creation of lesson plans and unit plans, how to answer essay type questions, as well as foundation, intermediate and senior mathematics.
