Bio
I am an energetic teacher who loves to inspire students to be their best selves. Life’s too short to not make learning fun.
I was always a smart kid in school, but unlike the other smart students my brain didn’t work like a computer. I had to fight for all my achievements and figure out how to study in a way that I could remember. That skill has helped immensely throughout the years because there is no “cookie cutter” way of learning. I want to help students find what works for them so they can start to love learning.

Subjects
Math
1st Grade - 12th GradeI found a passion for teaching at a young age. As a result, I’ve tutored on and off for the past 12 years. Working in public schools for the past 4 years has only grown my love for teaching. There is no better feeling than seeing a child light up when something finally clicks.
Language Arts (English)
1st Grade - 12th GradeI had a love-hate relationship with English in school until I learned what I was doing wrong. I was very mathematical in school and wanted the "formula" to get a good grade in English, but then I learned it's an art. Now I love to read a write creating/ living in new worlds and expressing myself.
American Sign Language
1st Year - 4th YearI have a passion for ASL and graduated summa cum laude in 2017 with a degree in sign language interpreting. I love teaching and helping others become more proficient in the language. I can help with the basics as well as specialty subjects ie. medical, religious, platform, and community interpreting
English Second Language
Beginner - IntermediateI love learning foreign languages! I graduated as a sign language interpreter and have two years of experience working in an ESL classroom. One year in elementary and another in middle school both with a Spanish speaking student. I can understand and speak quite a bit of Spanish, but I'm not fluent.
