Bio

My peers describe me as bubbly, dedicated, hard-working, and people-loving. I am passionate about learning and pushing myself to new heights, and I am always enthusiastic to help others thrive too!

I find great meaning in helping others. Thus, I have chosen to pursue a career in Psychology. I am also a probationary counsellor at LifeLine and have begun participating in SHAWCO's community service initiatives. I have always believed that people need each other and that there is always something to learn from our peers. I wish to use my strengths to help others where they are struggling.

Subjects

  • School Tutoring

Mathematics

Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC

Maths was my favourite subject at school. I enjoy the logical nature of it and even continued to take it at university, passing with distinctions. I love to help people understand what can often be a very challenging subject. So, let's team up so I can help you to make the experience a bit easier :)

Music Theory

Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC

I love music! I have my Advanced Certificate in Flute, Grade 5 in Music Theory, and Grade 4 in Piano. I received the Major Music Scholarship at my high school and took Music as a subject up to Matric, where I achieved a distinction. I understand how challenging theory can be, so let me help you!

  • University Tutoring

Business Mathematics

First Year MAM1010F and MAM1012S (respectively)

Maths at university was a big jump from school Maths. I struggled in the beginning but eventually was proud of my outcome (91% and 94%). I was even offered the position of head tutor at UCT for MAM1012S. I feel confident that I can help you and make this subject feel more manageable.

Business Accounting

First Year ACC1012S

I did two accounting courses at UCT during Covid-19, and passed with distinctions. I learnt via remote teaching, which meant I really needed to engage with the content if I wanted to succeed. This left me with a very good understanding of the work and I would be happy to help you through it too!

Financial Accounting

First Year ACC1006F

I took accounting for the first time in University, during online learning, and passed with distinction. I find it logical and with practice, it became easy to understand. If you need extra support as a first-time accounting student, I think we could work together to help you reach your goals!

Industrial Psychology

First Year - Third Year BUS1007S, BUS3002F, BUS3004S (Respectively)

I completed my major in I/O Psychology in 2021. I covered content about organizational behaviour and employee relations, resourcing and performance, organizational learning and wellness, and research methods and statistics. If you struggle with I/O Psych content, I would be happy to assist you!

Psychology

First Year - Second Year PSY1004F, PSY2013F, PSY2014S, PSY2015F (respectively)

I am studying my third year in Psychology. I have covered the Introduction to Psychology, Social and Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience and Abnormal Psychology, and Research in Psychology 1 (including statistics). These courses can be challenging, and I would love to help you!

Research Methodology

First Year - Third Year BUS3004S

I have done 3 courses at university focused on research. I have a good understanding of the logic behind the different methods, as my two majors are strictly evidence-based. I am also proficient in the statistics component. This subject can be challenging, and I would love to help!

  • Music Tutoring

Flute

Beginner (Grades 1 - 3) - Advanced (Grades 7 - 8)

Playing the flute is my passion! I have my Advanced Certificate (92%) and aim to get my diploma. I have performed in several eisteddfods, plays, concerts, and award ceremonies. I was Head of the Wind Ensemble and Lead Musician at my school. I would love to join you on your wonderful music journey!

Music Theory

Beginner (Grades 1 - 3) - Intermediate (Grades 4 - 6)

I have done Music Theory since I was in grade 3. I did my Grade 5 ABRSM exam under high pressure and passed with merit (80%-85%). I also took Music as a subject up to matric and received a distinction. I understand how challenging it can be, but with extra support and practice, you will get there!

Piano (Classical)

Beginner (Grades 1 - 3) - Intermediate (Grades 4 - 6) ABRSM

I started my music career by playing the piano. I completed my grade 4 ABRSM exam and started playing at a grade 5 level but decided to stop there. I focused more on my flute career in which I have received my advanced certificate. I therefore know how to engage with music at a very high level.
