Bio
I am a UCT student studying Actuarial Science. I have a passion for teaching and helping others and want to use both of these to tutor students. I pride myself on my work ethic and time management.
I put myself in a learner's shoes and try to understand how they learn to make sure even the trickiest of concepts are easily understandable. I really enjoy helping students to understand their work and achieve their goals. I struggled with school before getting a tutor so I know how it feels to be in a position of needing help and I use that to teach in a way they will respond to.
Education
• I matriculated in 2018 and achieved 6 distinctions and an average of 85% in matric.
• I am currently in second year at UCT and studying Actuarial Science with plans to complete a Masters in Statistics.
My Proudest
Achievements
• 1. I successfully climbed Kilimanjaro in 2016
• 2. I was accepted (and stayed) in res at UCT
• 3. I have completed 5 947 cycle races (Johannesburg equivalent of the Cape Argus) and completed my first one when I was 12.
Subjects
Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBI have helped family and peers with maths since it was as simple as times tables to as complex as university calculus and I quickly judge how a learner learns and use that to deliver content in a way that will make sense to them
Accounting
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBAccounting is another subject I have always enjoyed and excelled at teaching people. I understand the principles of accounting very well and so by making use of that and great teaching skills I can deliver content in an interesting and easy manner.
Physics
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBI have a strong love of physics to the point of almost studying mechatronics at university. It is a subject I have always been able to understand with relative ease and I can relay physical concepts in a manner students can understand
