I used to despise English as a subject at school because I found it boring learning grammar rules and writing tedious essays! But I quickly learned the importance of literature and developed my love for writing. A good teacher makes all the difference as to whether you enjoy and do well in English!

Having a teacher who explains important concepts clearly and who is passionate about IT is fundamental to a student's success in IT. IT can be a very difficult subject, but once you build a solid foundation in the subject, you discover a whole new world and develop incredible problem-solving skills

Mathematics is a subject which I think absolutely cannot be self-taught. A good teacher who explains processes and concepts clearly is vital. I am a patient and positive person and love helping others improve skills such as problem-solving which is essential to Mathematics.

I absolutely love Life Sciences because I love learning about the complexity of living things and the environment. It is so practical and useful in our everyday lives. I am a very practical learner and learn by teaching processes out loud and so tutoring Life Sciences mostly comes naturally to me.

History is interesting and important because it teaches us morality, how to learn from mistakes, helps us develop reading and writing skills, how to craft our own opinions, research skills, and how to analyse situations and sources. I have always enjoyed learning from the school’s history syllabus.

LO teaches the importance of formulating own ideas and opinions. It really transforms your writing skills as you have to develop and present your ideas in an ordered fashion. This has always come naturally to me because I am a deep thinker and processor.

I make a good Afrikaans tutor because I am patient and have a good understanding of the subject. I understand the struggles of the subject and really had to grapple with the language as English is my home language
