Bio
Hello! I am currently a PhD candidate in Anthropology at UTSA, where I focus on Maya Archaeology. I have always enjoyed learning and am excited to help others become excited learners as well!
I am about to finish my first semester teaching courses at a local community college. This experience has been fulfilling because my students come from many different backgrounds. Their experiences build a diverse classroom environment. Before I taught at community college, I was a TA for six years at UTSA, where I worked with students one on one with coursework as well as career planning.
Education
• 2010 - 2014: Bachelor's in Archaeology (Johns Hopkins)
• 2014 - 2018: Master's in Anthropology (UTSA)
• 2018 - Present: PhD in Anthropology (UTSA)
• 2020 - Present: Adjunct Instructor in Anthropology (NVC)
My Proudest
Achievements
• My proudest achievement so far has been earning my Master's in Anthropology. While doing fieldwork, I injured my ankle and had to take an entire year learning to walk again. But, despite this setback, I was able to complete my coursework and earn my Master's degree in 2018.
