I am a mother to two, a born teacher, and intrinsically kind person. If you are unconfident in English, I will help you find your feet and excel, and actually enjoy the process too. English can be fun!
Education
• I completed a BA at UKZN with English and Philosophy as majors. I have an Honours in English from UCT. I also have an HDE and taught for six years before I took up my current job as a news editor.

• Coming first in KwaZulu-Natal in my Matric Year for English.
• Winning the Douglas Livingstone English competition in 1990 with a paper on Ingrid de Kok (a South African poet)
• Winning the Avbob Poetry Competition prize for a poem in English (out of 15 000 entries) in 2024

Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI came first in KZN for my Matric English exam in 1990. I went on to study English in a BA (which I completed Cum Laude). I have an Honours and a Masters in English Literature.
