Bio
I am a devoted engineering graduate student working towards becoming an astronaut day by day. My goal though this experience is to help others find their passion like my teachers helped me find mine.
I have adapted and overcome through countless obstacles. Having dyslexia as a child caused me to be behind for years. More than that, I simply could not learn the way other students could. To compensate, I taught myself subjects and ensured that I was ahead of the class. I know I can explain complex ideas clearly and help anyone stuck or feeling lost. Also, I do not bite.
Education
• 2016-2020 B.S. Mechanical Engineering at UTD (GPA: 3.73)
• 2021-NOW Aerospace PhD student at UTA
• I have worked in countless study groups and teams where I lead my peers through challenging topics.
My Proudest
Achievements
• Graduating college was hard and something I am very proud of. Especially because I received a 3.73 GPa in Mechanical Engineering. Also, my senior design capstone project won first place! For this project my team built a liquid propellant rocket assembly. It was challenging work, but very rewarding.
Subjects
Math
1st Grade - 12th GradeI am proficient in calculus, trigonometry, geometry, algebra. These skills I have learned from high school and built on now working towards my PhD in Aerospace Engineering. Math did not come easy to me, but I worked hard and now I am very confident in my skills.
Chemistry
1st Grade - 12th GradeMy father is a PhD chemist. Since I was a child he taught me about the study of elements and the periodic table. Chemistry can be a little tricky, but over the years I believe I have developed real skill in teaching the subject.
Physics
1st Grade - 12th GradePhysics C was the hardest course I took in high school. Having taken this course while learning the fundamentals of calculus I can say it was challenging. However, physics is now something I do everyday as an Aerospace Engineering graduate student. I can navigate through any problem with you.
Economics
1st Grade - 12th GradeEconomics, I believe, is the study of cause and impact. However, understanding how the cause creates an impact is the key. I had an amazing teacher for economics and I believe I can help anyone understand the basics.
Pre-calculus
1st Grade - 12th GradePre-calculus was the first math course I understood. For some reason my brain had problems with geometry and algebra, but pre-calculus just made sense. While tricky, I know I can explain trig and other complex problems with ease to help you on your way.
Calculus
1st Grade - 12th GradeIn high school, calculus was my favorite subject. I finally understood math. I took AP Calculus AB in high school and received a 5 on my AP test. Not to say I did not need to try, but the concepts can easier to me than I thought. I helped my peers in high school to understand and I can help you.
Study Skills
1st Grade - 12th GradeBelieve it or not, I took a course on how to learn. With dyslexia, learning was not a simple process. It took motivation and perseverance. I can show you how I approach learning and work with you on what could help you learn to the best of your ability.
World History
1st Grade - 10th GradeHistory can be very boring if you do not look at how the past impacted the present. Looking into the past can answer all of you questions on why things are the way they are. It can be truly eye opening an amazing. I hope to show you what I mean so you can enjoy learning about it too.
Geometry
1st Grade - 12th GradeI am proficient in calculus, trigonometry, geometry, algebra. These skills I have learned from high school and built on now working towards my PhD in Aerospace Engineering. Math did not come easy to me, but I worked hard and now I am very confident in my skills.
Algebra
1st Grade - 12th GradeI am proficient in calculus, trigonometry, geometry, algebra. These skills I have learned from high school and built on now working towards my PhD in Aerospace Engineering. Math did not come easy to me, but I worked hard and now I am very confident in my skills.
Mathematics
1st Year Calculus IIn college I felt very confident taking Calculus I. I received an A+ and never really struggled to understand. I know that I can tutor for this subject and work through any complex issue a student could have.
Chemistry
1st Year - 2nd Year General ChemistryChemistry is about diligence and foundations. I focused on understanding the backbone of chemistry and I know I can pass on that understanding to cement any student's knowledge in this subject.
Mechanical Engineering
1st Year - 2nd Year Statics, Material Science, Mechanical VibrationsStatics is a subject I helped my peers understand during undergrad. Materials science is a very interesting subject that I really enjoyed. Mechanical Vibrations is equation heavy and very dense with math. However, the applications of the equations used are very fascinating.
