As an Afrikaans speaking person in an English environment I am completely bilingual - whether it be prose, academic or professional writing.

The business world as I know it revolves around a solid understanding of the English language. Learning the basics with an additional language curriculum should therefore be interesting, fun and useful without being daunting.

Having a solid foundation with mathematics is crucial when entering the senior phase of high school. I want to make sure a pupil feels comfortable with their thought process when attempting different maths problems so they have confidence later on.

A child’s best characteristic has to be their curious nature. Natural sciences have ample approaches to understand basic concepts and leave plenty of room to explore the “why and how” of the world.

Business management gives insight into the intricacies of different types of companies. I have ample experience in corporate law as well as business management in practice and can give real world examples and applications for the principles in this module.

Financial management is not just useful in business, it is also crucial to understand the concepts of this module as they are relevant in many aspects of personal finance.
