I have been featured in English Alive (2020) for poetry, as well as in my school magazine for both poetry and prose. I have achieved consistently high marks in English, and matriculated as the top English student in my grade, and the 9th top achiever in the Western Cape (2020).

My high school required History students to write two Research Essays. This, and more, has prepared me well for both the execution and teaching of essay processes. I achieved 95% in my Matric Research Essay. I have a specific and easily taught method for answering source-based questions.

Life Science is a subject that requires not only practice and memorization, but understanding of what each question is asking, as well as an understanding of the boxes that can be ticked to achieve highly. Examiners mark this subject in a certain way, and I am very familiar with this process.

Natural Science is a big subject. It is learned best through creative methods to help information stick. I have experience teaching all grades this way, and the results have always been impressive.

This subject is content-heavy, and if topics were rushed in school one can improve marks for Social Science with a little extra time. I am skilled at teaching sections of work, and guiding students through test examples.

To ace Geography, you need a good grasp of content and question answering techniques. I am able to teach creatively thanks to my experience learning high school-level geography at Scouts. The answering technique is easily learned through my facilitated practice.

Sometimes all a student needs to understand Maths is a different way of looking at it, or for it to be explained differently. That, and lots of time practicing! I can meet both of these needs to help transform understanding of this subject.

I was invited to the accelerated Home Language Program at my High School from grade 9, which gave me an excellent grounding in Afrikaans conversation, language, and literature. I was given an award for enthusiasm at the end of Matric for this subject, and am a very engaging teacher in this subject

From grade 8 to grade 11, I was a part of the Herschel Debating Team, as well as part of the team that made it to the semi-finals of the Eurasian School's Debating Championships. I was a team member in interschool Forum Discussions. I have achieved top marks in English Language exams.
