Bio
As a graduate student in aerospace engineering, I have gone through my own struggles in the world of academia and fully understand what kind of support is needed for success. I know I can provide it!
I've worked as a virtual tutor for 6-7 years, tutored in person from high school all the way throughout my university career, and taught incoming freshmen in their transition to college courses for 5 years. As a student myself, I know how to identify what works and does not work for varying learning styles, and have first-hand experience in the struggles students face in difficult subjects.
Education
• 2014 - 2019 - BS in Aerospace Engineering w/ Minor in Mechanical Engineering, University of Texas at Arlington
• 2019 - 2021 - MS in Aerospace Engineering (graduating in December)
My Proudest
Achievements
• Some of my proudest moments include when students that I taught write to let me know how much I helped them at the end of the semester. Even if it's feedback from just one person, it means the world to me, because I was able to be there for someone who has the potential to change the world.
Subjects
Mathematics
1st Year - 2nd YearI am a graduate student in aerospace engineering and have worked as a tutor on campus for mainly 1st and 2nd year college students, so my areas of expertise in tutoring include algebra, pre-calculus, calculus 1 and 2, trigonometry and geometry.
Programming
1st Year - 2nd Year Python, MATLABI have extensive experience programming with both Python and MATLAB, and feel confident tutoring in either language. MATLAB is especially a very helpful introductory language that can teach you techniques that translate to any other programming language.
Math
1st Grade - 12th GradeI have worked as an online tutor for middle school and high school students for 6+ years, and tutored a variety of areas in mathematics!
Physics
1st Grade - 12th GradeI have tutored students virtually for 6+ years, and physics is one of my favorite subjects to tutor. The concepts can be initially confusing for any student as I did find so myself in the past, but with the right guidance it is easy to master!
ACT
1st Grade - 12th GradeSimilar to the SAT exam, I loved the complexity of the questions asked during ACT exams and chose to do both for the sake of challenging myself. I would love to help nudge students in the right direction by providing tips and tricks I learned in my own journey!
Pre-calculus
1st Grade - 12th GradePre-calculus was my favorite subject in high school; I would even help my own teacher tutor my classmates during after-school hours. This subject is fundamental to transitioning into proper calculus, so the concepts introduced need to be fully understood for a good foundation, which I can help with!
