Bio
I am extremely curious and I always enjoy a challenge. My desire to help others expands further and in my spare time, I enjoy volunteering to help with local community projects or even at museums.
I am extremely patient and understand that every individual is different and for this reason, I always pay attention to people and their specific needs so I'm able to adapt the way I approach them and the problem at hand to ensure that I know exactly they may need from me. I create safe environments where students always feel comfortable to share their problem areas and never feel shy or ashamed.
Education
• I completed my first and second year of university studying BSc Food Sciences at the University of Pretoria. I am now enrolled for my final year.
My Proudest
Achievements
• In high school, I achieved Full Colours (an award) for academics 4 times.
• In grade 12, I managed to obtain the only distinction for English in my school.
• In my first and second years of university, I was part of the top 15% of students in my faculty and was asked to join the Golden Key Society.
Subjects
Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 6 NSCI have enjoyed mathematics and still do even now in university as I enjoy a challenge. My final grade 12 mark is the lowest mark I achieved for mathematics during high school and primary school career and I now understand some concepts better.
English
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCMy strengths show when it comes to literature as I do enjoy poetry and I also excelled in essay writing during my high school career. I believe I have a good grasp of the English language.
Business Studies
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI enjoy teaching this subject as something about all the concepts makes so much sense to me. During high school, I managed to find easier ways to study the content without it being extremely boring as I related to real-life scenarios
Natural Science
Grade 1 - Grade 9 NSCScience makes me excited as I am naturally very curious. I know how to explain concepts that seem scary in a simpler way by breaking them down and finding new teaching approaches.
Afrikaans
Grade 1 - Grade 11 NSCI went to an Afrikaans pre-school and that's where my foundation was built. During my high school career, I participated in redenaars and achieved awards for it as well. I'd like to think I have a good grasp when it comes to the Afrikaans language

Reviews from others
“I am so pleased and happy with Resse tutoring my son, she is so patient with my son, and my son would be so impatient for his next class the way he enjoys his classes”- Olerato
“Amelia has shown great improvement with maths and is really giving her best. She tries and study as much as possible. She was reluctant to learn her tables but with Reece she learned them very fast. It's hard for her to come from school and then do homework and then get tutoring but she does it and she does it with excitement. Her confidence in learning maths has really grown with the help of Reece”- Karen
“She's patient with him, her approach towards him and she makes sure that he understands by giving him tasks to do on his own. ”- Lucy
“She's patient with Mohau, she really takes her time until he understands what she's teaching him. ”- Portia
“Ms Reese is an excellent tutor who dedicated her time to ensure that the student understand the subject matter. Katlego has passed all his English tests with one distinction. The area of English as per report needs to be improved by the learner with assistance of Ms Reese.”- Shimane
