I tutored an accounting student who struggled to apply exam technique. I made short notes for the student on how to apply the exam technique and gave them weekly assignments to do. I highlighted their mistakes and the student passed their exams.

When its business studies its about the style of answering certain types of questions, for example with essay type questions what is important is the introduction, advantages and disadvantages and the conclusion while referencing to the scenario.

Economics is easy to understand. One has to understand the principles and the graphs involved and how these two are interlinked. Once a student understands these two things and what the question requires of them,economics will become an easy subject.

I give the student easy questions to do to build their confidence. I then give the student difficult ones to do. If they struggle I show them their errors and ask them to do the question again. This way the student does not repeat the same mistake.

I once tutored a student who struggled to remember formulas. I created acronyms so that the student could easily remember which formula to apply to a given question. The student's performance improved quickly and they ended up passing their exam.

Practice makes perfect. This subject requires a student to practice doing exam type questions 4 or 5 out of the 7 days of the week. Also, which formula to use and when to use a given formula is crucial in passing this subject.
