Bio
I am a medical student currently on a gap year with the understanding that it takes a group to lay the path for a bright and prosperous future. I aim to be part of this ever-evolving group.
My 6+ years volunteering for different organizations and different groups, I have learned how to build a rapport with the people I work with and the people for whom I work. More than that, I am able to identify the existing skills of the person I help and try to build new skills and new knowledge around that. This approach that I use also builds confidence in the people I help.

My Proudest
Achievements
• I am proud that I made it into my degree given some of the hurdles in my way that year. My other achievements are ever-evolving one being able to evaluate and create change where I see the need in myself. The other is being able to use what I have, the growth I've made, to help others.
Subjects
Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 11 IEBFor my IEB certificate, I scored a distinction in core Mathematics and a 60% in Advanced Mathematics. The experience I have tutoring mainly comes from volunteering to tutor Maths for grades 6 - 9 under the OLICO youth center from 2016 to 2019.
English
Grade 1 - Grade 9 IEBI excelled in English at school and it is a subject that I have been tutoring since I completed matric. English is a subject commonly undervalued by students as they do not realize how it forms the foundation for other subjects, NBTs, tertiary education courses, as well as for "real-life" situations
History
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBHistory as a school subject aims to teach about the past but to also use this information to understand current affairs better and to synthesise logical arguments. My aim in tutoring is to hone and develop these skills in students and develop a passion for critical thinking.
